About NAPL Solutions
NAPL Solutions, LLC was formed to address the industry-wide need for removing non-aqueous phase liquids (NAPL or free product) from atop the water table in a timely and cost-effective manner. Founders Paul J. Muthig, PG and Daniel Smedley have combined their respective expertise and experience to develop equipment that will:
- Remove NAPL from wells with complete automation,
- Have a small footprint and no direct electrical connection needed for installation and operation, and
- Be available in portable and/or fixed-based units that are easily operated and maintained by one person.
Future developments include the NAPL Skim device, which is designed to remove petroleum-based product from the surface of groundwater.

With more than 60 years of combined experience, the NAPL team has developed proven strategies for assessment and development of equipment to remove free product from the water table.

The evaluation and development of systems to remove that begins with an understanding of the natural and man-made environment of a site. NAPL Solutions personnel will evaluate the regulatory arena, hydrogeology (i.e., natural environment), and man-made environment and produce a site-specific remedial system to achieve your goals.
